Laghu Udyog Bharti to hold national convention
Bhopal
The Laghu Udyog Bharti, country’s largest network small-scale industry body, will hold National Convention from April 23 to 25 in Ujjain.
On the sidelines of the two-day conference, a national executive meeting would be held, said State in-charge and National Executive member Ajay Narang here on Thursday.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has also been invited to attend the event at Ujjain said Narang. The main demand of Laghu Udyog Bharti is creation of an independent department and ministry for the small-scale industries, so that their problems are addressed and resolved effectively, he added.
Talking to mediapersons here, Narang said that in the convention, the members would deliberate upon bringing about reforms in the small-scale industry and end to the inspector raj.
At the national convention, the three main topics are to be discussed — social security of workers in small-scale industry, congenial working environment and a single income tax levied on workers in small-scale industries, said Narang.
Participants from Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Bihar, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu are expected in the two-day convention. Members from various districts of Madhya Pradesh are likely to participate including Morena, Bhind, Bhopal, Raisen and Guna. In all 500 people from 24 districts will reach Ujjain, said Narang.
